Every company has a story. Ackerman’s is no exception. From our roots in Pioneer Equipment to the full-service dealership we are today, our story revolves around our mission and our passion. To make farm & rural life easier. And to provide service beyond expectation.
The Kioti story, is one of enduring commitment to quality and manufacturing control. KIOTI designs, engineers, and manufactures nearly every major component
of its tractors, delivering unmatched consistency and reliability.
Kioti tractors have been working on North American soil since 1986, but their roots go back much further than that. As far back as 1947 when Kioti’s parent company, Daedong was founded in South Korea. By 1949, Daedong had started producing engines. Shortly after, they expanded to include power tillers, tractors, and combines. By 1973 they were manufacturing their own transmissions and other major components.
Throughout Daedong and Kioti’s history of growth and diversification, they have remained committed to their promise. “To deliver the best machine-owning experience possible.” This promise can only be fulfilled through constant innovation, investing in technology, and striving to provide customers with the best value for their dollar. Consistently delivering a level of quality that exceeds their customers’ expectations is a hallmark of their commitment to excellence.
If this sounds familiar it’s likely because Ackerman’s shares that same passion for providing customer service that exceeds expectation. We discovered that we shared this passion with Kioti while researching and meeting with several different tractor brands. Over the past few years Akerman’s met with Kubota, LS, Mahindra, Branson, TYM and others. Ackerman’s determined that having the right line of tractors to accompany our unique product offering of Maschio, Lancaster, Esch, Esch hay, PH Outdoors, Iva Sprayers, Mast Attachments and others would allow us to even better serve the needs of our loyal customers. Kioti’s line of construction equipment including skid steers and mini-excavators were another consideration. During this research process, and with some timely connections and conversations the partnership was forming and it became increasingly clear that Kioti was the right brand for Ackerman’s.
In 1985, Daedong partnered in the US with a local agricultural machine company and formed Lely KIOTI. They introduced their first tractor to the US market in 1986. In 1993, Daedong fully acquired the company and founded Daedong USA. Officially adopting Kioti as its brand name and developed the Kioti logo, symbolizing “ the coyote’s” roaring its spirit to the world. The coyote well represents the brand’s agility, versatility, and adaptability – traits shared by its equipment. Coyotes are hard runners with incredible stamina, they can adapt to most any habitat and quickly attain an advantage. Especially in open fields, and woodlots. Same could be said for Kioti tractors, which are built to excel in a wide range of conditions. Whether working alone or in a pack, coyotes are also known for their loyalty – an attribute that resonates with Kioti’s relationship with its customers.
Through this new partnership with Kioti, Ackerman’s is even better equipped to serve the diverse needs of their customers and make farm, and rural life easier, while striving to consistently exceeding the expectations of those they serve.
